I have worn many hats in my lifetime. Copywriter, Art Director, Creative Director, Radio Producer… now photographer. (Although I have never pursued photography as a serious profession, I have always been around photographic studios directing from behind the scenes with my “Art Director” hat on). It’s a love affair that started very young, and yet for some reason I never thought of it as being anything other than a hobby.
I think the equipment cost was a big factor in not taking it anywhere. But here I am, with an online shop selling my images. What gives? I’ll thank a few happy accidents for even thinking about opening an online gallery: The sudden interest in my work on 500px, requests via Instagram for access to pieces I considered experimental and a growing awareness that while I may not be the most amazing photographer in the world, I’m also not the crappiest.
